Yatindra Mishra

An award-winning poet, editor, music and cinema aficionado. A regular speaker at literature festivals and other prestigious forums, Yatindra has a large body of work behind him. He has written collections of Hindi poetry titled Yada-Kada, Ayodhya Tatha Anya Kavitayein, Dyorhi Par Aalaap and Vibhas. He has translated Bhairavi by the 12th century Lingayat mystic poet Akka Mahadevi; and written about the life and work of Thumri singer Girija Devi, danseuse Sonal Mansingh and Shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan. His most recent work includes Humsafar, which charts 100 years of music in Hindi cinema. He is currently writing a book on Indian playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.

Being a part of Doordarshan Kendra, New Delhi as an Advisor to D.D. Bharati Channel (May, 2014- April, 2015), launched new series for the talecast on D.D. Bharati with fellow advisor Smt. Kumud Diwan. They are Remembering Legends; Jewels of Hindustani Classical Music; Gunijan and other.
