Priya began her career in journalism with The Indian Express. During this time she wrote a weekly column on Delhi called Delhi Upclose which was published in the city section of the paper, Delhi Newsline. She worked at the academic publisher Routledge in London for two years before joining Roli Books ten years ago. In her time at Roli Books, she has commissioned and edited both mass market successes such as Dongri to Dubai by Hussain Zaidi as well as award winning books such as Taj Mahal Foxtrot by Naresh Fernandes. Being a history student, she enjoys digging around archives and would probably be working in a museum if the publishing bug had not caught her first. Her formative years were spent in the beautiful Garhwal hills in Mussoorie and perhaps this is why she prefers mountains to just about anywhere else.
Priya was educated at Woodstock School, Mussoorie, Royal Holloway, University of London and has an MSc from London School of Economics.
She is on the Advisory Board of Kumaon Literary Festival.Back
