She is the Founder, Lucknow Literature Carnival and Secretary of Lucknow Expressions, a society which works for promotion of literature and culture, and is the organising body of Lucknow Literature Carnival.
She was selected as a Penguin Ambassador. She was the Vice President SPIC MACAY, Lucknow Chapter, for year 2013, promoting Indian classical music and other arts in the city. She is a member, global dream advisory board, CMS School. In continuation of promotion of the heritage for INTACH, she has been organizing the annual INTACH Vintage Heritage Drive for school children, wherein school children are driven to the historical monuments of the city in vintage cars and are educated about their architectural and historical significance and impressed upon to understand the importance of conservation of our heritage. Children from underprivileged sections of society are also invited to join this drive.
Kanak believes in EACH ONE - TEACH ONE. Educating the underprivileged girl child has been her mission. She has undertaken personal responsibility for several children from kindergarten to post graduation studies. She has assisted Capt P Chauhan in his ‘Citizen Initiative Voluntary’ project to RECONSTRUCT THE HUSSAINABAD CLOCK which was lying defunct for almost two decades and clock makers all over the world could not repair or re-construct it. She holds a PG degree in Chemistry and a Diploma in Management Studies from Mumbai University.Back
